Tonight my husband pointed out that I had showcased my favourite Easter treat, but that I had left his favourite in the lurch.
Its not that I don’t like it personally, its just that I’m not a huge peanut butter lover. I will get a craving every now and then, but its not in my top 5. Just as he would eat the marshmallow egg, but usually prefers his marshmallow thoroughly burnt - charred really- or better yet on fire (I have witnessed a sad marshmallow impaled on a fork and held over the burner until said charred-ness was accomplished). When it comes to chocolate, its the peanut butter-chocolate combination that 99.9% of the time catches his eye. He especially loves anything Reese with a passion(he still has more self control than me.)
The outside is a rich milk chocolate. Its not quite an egg shape, though its very close. I’m guessing not many people write to complain. If they do, they have too much time on their hands, and not enough chocolate.
The insides of the egg are filled with Reese’s peanut butter cup filling, or at least something that tastes very similar. Its very much like their cups, but somehow its different without all those chocolate ridges missing. I may be the only one to notice. My husband most likely will think I’m crazy. Its okay, he likes me this way;)
This is a love affair that I can approve of.

I'm like your husband! I like my marshmallows burnt and charred, too!
ReplyDeletegosh, you sure elevated the humble reeses! now I really crave one!
I've never had one, but now I really want one, haha
ReplyDeleteburpandslurp: I am fussy and only like a little bit of golden brown...but it helps being with people who love it burnt in case one gets set on fire, there is someone to eat it!
ReplyDeleteMike: You should get your hands on one before Easter when they disappear again!
I can't view this recipe but would love to make these! Could you please send it to me. My email is chrodgers@ursinus.edu
